I love simple (or at least not too fussy) clothing on my girls. Basic dresses and sweet playsuits that only really need sandals and a smile to look cute.
One reason for this is that they both have pretty big personalities and I feel like fussy clothing would just be overwhelming (for me anyway).
Another is that they usually accessorise with a mask/umbrella/boa/hat/glasses/socks/jewellery/all of the above – so if they’re wearing something relatively simple it doesn’t look too over the top after they’ve added their must-haves.
But the main reason is that there are so many great kids accessories out there that look amazing, and paired with a simple outfit can change it from being casual enough to rock the playground, to pretty enough to please any partygoer.
Here are just a few of my favourite kids accessories at the moment – interesting enough for the kids to wear them without a fight, and good looking enough to be parent approved.
